We will bike along the river to downtown and visit the Landmark Center for the “Climb to the Top” event.

Sunday, September 13th, 11:00am–1:00 pm – A rare opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes exploration of Landmark Center’s North Tower. Get a bird’s eye view of downtown Saint Paul by climbing the steps and walking through a secret door to get to the top. Free, Self-guided, No reservations required. The North Tower is accessible only via stairs, 61 steps total from the 6th floor landing to the top. Or skip the elevator all together and climb the 198 stairs from the first floor. Don’t forget your camera!

Beautiful weather for the July Ride!

The American Sokol 2026 Convention Ride took place on June 11th.
Two of us from Sokol Minnesota biked to Hastings to accompany three bikers on the last 30 miles of their six-day ride from Chicago to the 2026 American Sokol Organization convention in St. Paul/Bloomington. It rained part of the way there and most of the way back, but we enjoyed the scenery and sharing a little part of the sense of accomplishment the Chicago Sokols felt as they completed their trip! Dobrá práce, bratři!

The European Friendship Ride took place on Europe Day, May 9th.
In addition to beautiful views of the Mississippi River and Minnehaha Falls, the 30+ mile ride took us to the Alliance Francaise in Minneapolis and the Germanic American Institute in Saint Paul before returning to Sokol’s CSPS Hall.

Kolo means bike in Czech and Slovak

Kolo Sokol is a recreational group created to help support the goals of Czech and Slovak Sokol Minnesota:
community and fitness for individuals and families through cultural, educational, physical, and social programs.

Anyone can join the group and help organize our activities. Some rides are pre-planned, usually leaving from Sokol Minnesota’s CSPS Hall and taking various routes on the trails along both sides of the Mississippi river in Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Special rides are sometimes planned for other routes around the twin cities area. Rides are family-friendly and focus on safety for all participants.

Kolo t-shirts are available in the Gift Shop. You can find gift shop hours at sokolmn.org/gift-shop. Grey shirts are 90% cotton w/10% poly. Blue and red shirts are 100% cotton. These shirts tend to run a little small so you may want to get a size bigger if in doubt.
